What does Yukon Territory look like? Find out in this video. I have put some notes for you in this video.

Many miners came to the Yukon during the Gold Rush in the 1890s.  What are miners? What is a gold rush? There's a lot of talking in the video below. Don't worry if you don't understand all of it. Focus on what you see. What do you think the miners' lives were like? We'll talk more about what you saw after you watch the video.

The White Pass and Yukon Railway ran from Skagway to Whitehorse. The railway made it easier for miners to come to the Yukon. Take a ride on the railway in this film from the 1920s. Look at what the Yukon looks like. Think about the miners who had to walk to the Yukon before the railway came.
