pg. 13- Atticus never talked much about the Radley's: when Jem would question him Atticus's only answer was mind your own business.
pg. 117- "I hope and pray I can get Jem and Scout through it without bitterness, and most of all, without catching Maycomb's usual disease." This quote shows that Atticus doesnt want his kids to be like the rest of Maycomb- racist and prejudice.

pg. 99- Scout asked Atticus, "Do you defend Niggers, Atticus?" "Of course I do. Don't say Nigger, Scout. That's common."
pg. 100- "Why did Cecil say you defended Niggers?" Atticus sighed. "I'm simply defendin' a Negro- his name's Tom Robinson."
pg 65- "Son," he said to Jem, "I'm going to tell you something and tell you one time: stop tormenting that man." (Boo Radley)
