Yellowstone National Park

Many years ago, mainly rich people came from the East to visit the park. Today the parks belong to all Americans. We can see Old Faithful, large mammals like bear, elk, and caribou. We can fish, camp, hike,and enjoy the park's beauty!

Old Faithful is one of Yellowstone's geysers. It sprays hot water up to 184 feet every 65 to 90 minutes!

Yellowstone National Park covers parts of Idaho, Montana,and Wyoming. On March 1, 1872,President Ulysses S. Grant signed a law to protect the land. Today, nearly 3 million visitors come to the park each year!
