HomefrontThe U.S. Used alot of propaganda during WW1 as you can see

Many famous actors and actresses encouraged Liberty Bonds like Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks

Rationing

The reasons why Liberty bonds were created was to get more money for the U.S. Goverment. The U.S. Army without printing out money creating inflation and without reducing the Army's budget or going bankrupt. This idea became very successful because in 1917 alone $18.7 billion dollars were made from Liberty Bonds.

Rationing was another way that U.S. citizens not in the war could help the war. U.S. citizens were recommended to use corn instead of wheat, syrup instead of sugar, and fish and beans instead of other meats. In 1917 The Lever Act was passed and it allowed the U.S. to distribute all food to its people. This was also very successful.

The president Woodrow Wilson had one final thing to help the war effort. They were called Victory gardens and this encouraged average housholds to grow fruits vegetables in gardens. The U.S. goverment would then buy them for $2.00 every bushell. This was very successful too.
