Writing Fanfiction

I remember the first story that I read. It was about a band called Panic! At The Disco. The author this story was lovely, and helped me edit my story. As a 7th grader, it was great to have friends who knew what they were doing in this new genre.

A NEW GENRE

Many fanfictions are influenced by the characters within the fandom. Inspiration comes from real life events, "what-if" scenarios, as well as classic "falling in love" stories. Above is a video that is often a setting for many stories that include the members of the pop band, One Direction, in their music video "Night Changes" (2014).

Escape from Reality

Fanfiction is an umbrella term. Any person who enjoys a musical group, television, or any other type of media can create stories within their "fandom", which is a who all like the same media. Above are some of my "fandoms", past and present.

CHARACTERS

The first two blogging websites that I used to read fanfiction were MySpace and LiveJournal, respectively. I used LiveJournal to write and publish my works. Through the years, I moved onto different websites that catered to my desired "fandom"

Archive Of Our Own, commonly known as AO3, is the site that I currently use to read and publish.
