Harriet Beecher StoweHarriet Beecher Stowe had wrote a novel based on slavery. She had people reading the book,, so Tom Show suggested that many more people should read her book. since her book became popular she wrote,''A Tale Of Great Dimsal Swamp,'' ''Old Town Folks,'' and '' The Minister's Wooming.''

Clara BartonDuring the Civil war Clara carried supplies to soldiers. She also nursed wounded men on the battlefield, so she was called,''The Angel Of The Battlefield.'' Clara Barton is the founder of the American Red Cross program. Clara had convinced people to support the American red Cross program.

Sojurner TruthSojurner truth was the first black woman orator to speakout against slavery. She also had developedlands and farms for black people. Sojurner had also found homes for the slaves who had escaped. Sojurner Truth was a free slave in 1828.

Harriet TubmanHarriet Tubman was a nurse during the Civil War. She was also a spie for the union army. She was also a scout. Later in her life, she became a conductor for the Underground Railroad. Harriet Tubman had helped free more than 750 slaves. Harriet had then decided to establish a home for the elderly and needy African Americans.
