Women fight for equality

Summary:Women had gained the right to vote in the 1920s and during the world war they took over many of the mens jobs while the men went out to fight. When the men came back many of the women were forced to give up their jobs. Throughout the 1950s and 1960s women were fighting to be viewed equal to men and not benieth them. Women protested for equal wages and equality when picking who to lay off. They formed organizations to protest these issues and many more, and they were eventually successful with getting equal wages and more fairness and equality in general.
