Wind Energy

Wind energy is harnessed with the use of wind turbines which turn wind into energy by spinning a shaft connected to a generator that sends electricity into a transformer to send power to places.

Wind energy does not cause air pollution. Wind energy has the potential to supply more than 20 times what the world needs. It is impossible to run out of, however, it takes a lot of money to start the developing of wind turbines. It can also be a threat to birds. Wind energy is unpredictable because it relies on the weather.

Wind turbines are slightly cheaper to construct than coal fired power plants. Wind energy can also generate more electricity for less.
