She was diagnosed with Polio in her left leg which limited her ability to walk.

Wilma Rudolph was born in Clarksville, Tenesee in 1940.

In 1960 she competed in the summer olympics and got three gold medals in Track and Field.

Wilma was the 20th child out of 22!

World's fastest woman in the 1960s!

She was not able to participatre in the activities she wanted to in her childhood.

Wilma Rudolph died on November 12, 1994, near Nashville, Tennessee, losing a battle with brain cancer.
