Why Do I Use Glogster in the Classroom?
Students get to showcase what they know in a
creative way. They practice using a variety of skills, including word processing, utilizing databases or search engines, saving, uploading, graphic design, and audio/video processing.
My students used Glogster to
make interactive posters about
a person they researched
for a biography project.
They included videos of
themselves dressed as their
subjects and delivering speeches
about their lives.

I use Glogster to highlight difficult concepts and provide opportunity for extra practice, both in school and at home.
By including audio or video of myself teaching, students can practice on their own and get extra help all at the same time!
When we learn a new concept or method in math class, I videotape myself talking through the problem. I then make a Glog with practice problems and include the videos so students can see the lesson over again. This helps them complete homework and provides opportunity for extra credit (sometimes it helps the parents, too).

I have worked with Kindergarten teachers in my school to create an online resource for parents and students.
Students can get one-on-one help with handwriting skills at home.
Teachers used to send home
a CD for parents to use with
their children to practice
handwriting.
Now, instead of using valuable
time and resources burning
CDs, teachers house the audio
file online and parents access
it at home.

How will I use Glogster in the future? Any way I can.
