Alfred Joseph Hitchcock was born on August 13, 1899 in Leytonstone, London, England. He lived with a family of five including himself. He had an older brother, sister, mom, and dad. They all lived above the little grocery store that their family owned and worked at. Growing up, Alfred went to St. ignatius College, was a big loner most of the time, and observed everything. When Alfred became a teen, he got more interested in crime related things and always went and listened to criminal trials at the Old Bailey courthouse. At age fourteen, Alfred stopped attending St. Ignatius College and his parents sent him to engineering school, but Alfred was interested in movies more. When Alfred was fifteen, he applied for a job at the new Paramount Studios in England. He got a job as a title writer, since there were only silent movies at the time. Over time, he worked his way up into becoming a director! He made more than fifty films in his lifetime. But in 1980, Alfred passed away in his sleep with a legacy that willlive on for generations to come.
