Where's My Water

Our Opinion

What is urban polution? It is basically the collection of pollutants created by cities, the number and dangerousness of these pollutants which would certainly surprise city dwellers everywhere ! Air, water, ground the entire environment is involved.

The issue of access to potable water is very important. In developed countries, people may not put a great deal of thought into the source of their water.

Potable water is water which is fit for consumption by humans and other animals. It is also called drinking water, in a reference to its intended use. Water may be naturally potable, as is the case with pristine springs, or it may need to be treated in order to be safe.

Why water is important you might ask?

Where's my Water?

Pablo Alberto Vilchis García#1752011Hermilo Alberto Garza Valdez#1727354Ana Daniela Sánchez Treviño#1747782Ethel Cyrene Ríos Sosa #1747787

Pablo: I think if we don´t take care of the drinking water at home, we are wasting this amazing opportunity of having healthy water, besides destroying and damaging the resources of this beautiful planet. Ana: Water is something we take for granted, and we shouldn't, the fact that we are able to take a glass of water everyday is amazing, specially when you have in mind how much effort was put into a sole sup of water.Ethel : In this paper chose the theme of urban pollution that had not heard that term before and wanted to know what was the matter and I could see that many factors but also saw how you can solve.Hermilo: Water is a vital resource for every kind of life on the earth, is the reason of our existence and if we don’t make a change soon the water will disappear of this planet and all the life on it will die, this is why we have the responsibility to take care and change.

Now days the water is one of the most important sources and the one that is in more danger to disappear if we don’t take care of it properly,. This poster talks about the importance of the water and it care, and the consequences of the incorrect use of it.

Water used for domestic use needs to be safe in order to prevent disease and health issues. Private drinking water supplies from rainwater dams need to be carefully maintained to prevent contamination.

Runoff water from buildings, streets and sidewalks carries many pollutants including: sediment, nutrients, bacteria, oil, metals, chemicals, road salt, pet droppings and litter. Cars, refineries, power plants and other contaminant emitting sources send pollutants into the air that eventually settle in water.

Of course some of the most important uses for water are at our homes. Domestic water use is water used for indoor and outdoor household purposes— all the things you do at home: drinking, preparing food, bathing, washing clothes and dishes, brushing your teeth, watering the yard and garden, and even washing the dog.
