DEFINITION?A stroke is when blood flow to part of the brain is cut off. Because of this, brain cells begin to die due to a lack of oxygen. When brain cells die during a stroke, abilities controlled by that area of the brain, such as memory and muscle control, are lost.

SYMPTOMS?The symptoms include a drooping face, arm weakness, vision impairment, confusion, and trouble understanding simple sentences.
