Our Ideas & Inquiry as We Continue:1) With a consistent focus on learning goals, how will the learning and the class environment change? The Plan: Students will focus on discussing and self-assessing their progress, as related to the class learning goals.2) What differences in student learning will occur with continued attention to student thinking? The Plan: Begin the semester with specific, targeted & ongoing discussions with students about their thinking.3) When student feedback is timely, precise, and directly related to the learning, then students will value the learning experience. The Plan: Track progress and gather data with teacher(s).-------

Where We Started...

1) Two grade nine classes; 2) One keen teacher, whose first question was "I wonder if we can". . .3) One very reluctant teacher, with lots of preconceived opinions about his class. But he hasn't given up yet!And . . .4) One key question:"What can we learn from you (the students), about how you learn best?"

What Inspired Me: A BIG Ah-ha Moment!!
