Memo Georgia Reading StandardsELA8RC1 :The student reads a minimum of 25 grade-level appropriate books or book equivalents (approximately 1,000,000 words) per year from a variety of subject disciplines. The student reads both informational and fictional texts in a variety of genres and modes of discourse, including technical texts related to various subject areas.

Mondays: Vocab due!

Fridays: Writing Assignments--a variety of formal writing, experimental writing, timed writing etc... writing will be shared.

Required EVERY day:*Binder with paper *Blue or black pens for all writing assignments *A pencil and an eraser for grammar assignments.*A portable flash drive--IF you lose it or it becomes corrupt, you must replace it within 48 hours. * Interactive Notebook--which will be collected periodically and graded!

Tuesdays and Wednesdays: Lit discussion--bring books and notebooks!

Thursdays: Grammar review and grammar writing assignments:)

Independent Reading:1) We will be keeping interactive notebooks which will include outside reading assignments.
