Warsaw Ghetto Uprising

On April 19, 1942 , The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising began. The german troops and police entered the ghetto to deport its surviving inhabitants. 750 fought back the well-trained Germans. Then on May 16, 1943, the germans captured more than 56,000 jews and 7,000 jews were shot, And the reminder were deported to camps.

Boruch Spiegel, who died May 9 at 93,who was one of the last survivors of the 1943.He was one of the 750 jewish fighters who on April 19, 1943 , launched an uprising that took the germans off guard.
