Walt Disney

Child hood Walt Elias Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Hermosa, Illinois. He was 1 out of 5 kids with Flora and Elias Disney as his parents. Growing up Disney's father was stern and strict, so Disney tried to stay next to his gentle mother most of the time. Walt's father never had much success with farming or buiessness so the Disneys were alaways moving because of money problems. You will notice from Disney cartoons, that he loved to draw when he was a kid. Art was an essential part of his childhood and he sold drawings to his neighboors. One time he was even caught drawing on the the sides of their farm house with tar.

When Disney became a man he set out for Kansas City creating cartoons called Laugh O'grams. But that company eventually went bankrupt. So Disney turned to his brother Roy to make the Disney Brothers Studieos. The company mastered animation filming. That led to many timeless films and cartoons such as, Snow White, Lady and The Tramp, Alice in Wonderland, and let us not forget Mickey Mouse, a cartoon Walt Disney made that became famous world wide. Disney was a family man and he wanted to create a place where families could have fun together all day long. So Disneyland was created in 1959. Following that, Disney started making plans to creat Epcot. Sadly before Epcot was built Walt Disney died of lung cancer ,and his brother Roy Disney carried out the plans to build the theme park, known today as Epcot.
