Walt Disney

Walter Elias "Walt" Disney was born on December 5, 1901, in Hermosa, Illinois. He and his brother Roy co-founded Walt Disney Productions, which became one of the best-known motion-picture production companies in the world. He brought life to the ever popular cartoon character, Mickey Mouse. Disney was an innovative animator and created the cartoon character Mickey Mouse. He won 22 Academy Awards during his lifetime, and was the founder of theme parks Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

Walt Disney released the first feature length animated film, Snow White, in 1937.Walt Disney created Mickey Mouse, one of the most iconic cartoon characters in history, and made the first cartoon with sound, Steamboat Willie, in 1928.Disney created Disneyland in 1955 and became one of the world´s greatest theme parks.

Lasting Impact

Walt Disney changed the animated film industry because of how he incorporated the art of drawings to the films. He also innovated the mids of future drawers and artists. Astonished the world with what would become a theme park unique in its kind, Disneyland, that thrills people of all ages up to this date.
