Volcanos

Volcanos are created by convergent boundaries. Convergent boundaries are created by the earth plates crushing together. Then magma surges through cracks in the mountain and is stored in a chamber inside of the volcanoe.

There are many different types of volcanos. There are shield volcanos, composite volcanos, cindercone volcanos, and lavadome volcanos.

This is a shield volcano in Iceland.

Composite Volcano- tall conical volcanoes with many layers.Cindercone Volcano- steep conical volcanoe with many fragments of volcanic rock.Lava Dome Volcano- a rough circular mound volcanoe.Shield Volcano- a broad low volcano that looks like a flatened dome.
