Did you Know?-Volcanic eruptions can send ash high into the air, over 30km (17 miles) above the Earth's surface.

How it Erupts:- The lava under ground gets pressured.-Then the lava starts to flow in the vents or craters.- It overflows when there is to much in the volcano. That is when lava shot out of the sky and some will flow down the side because those lava doesn't have as much presure as the one that shots up.

Have you ever Wonder how it works?

Different Types of Volcanoes:

Fun FactsThe word volcano originally comes from the name of the Roman god of fire, Vulcan.

How a shield volcano forms is a thin lava which flows down the slope. These lava flows gather over a central vent. Over time this build up and forms the volcano.

Composite volcanoes or stratovolcanoes are formed by layers of lava, ash, and rock particles. Composite means layers and most are tall and steep with a cone at the top.

Cinder cone volcanoes are formed from the pipe of cinder, ash and rocks material is a product of an eruption. This makes for soft sloped volcanoes.
