Volcanos
When Volcanos EruptVolcanoes can damage themselves when they erupt. A volcano literally blows its top off when it erupts. One of the volcanoes that have blown its top from an explosion is Mt. St. Helens.
Volcanic activity is classified by how often a volcano erupts. A volcano may be active or extinct. Active volcanoes erupt constantly. Intermittent volcanoes erupt fairly regularly. Dormant volcanoes are inactive, but not long enough to determine whether they will erupt again or not. Extinct volcanoes have been inactive since the beginning of recorded history.
Volcanos
How Volcanos Erupt.A volcano erupts by making magma from melted rock. The magma forms at the base of the volcano and then starts to move up the main vent. When the mamga gets half way up the vent in turnt into lava. When the lava gets to the top of the main vent the volcano is ready to erupt.
