Meet Vintage's New Secretary

Magnet has a new secretary. Her name is Rosio Morfin. She was named Rosio because she was born on a rainy day in May. Rosio means morning dew in Spanish. Her last name came from France because her husband is French. The name is not very common. She worked as a secretary at Sylmar Elementary for 9 years. She worked as a teacher assistant before that at the same school. Even before that, she was an architect. In high school she wanted to be a teacher and took some classes on it in college. But then, she got married and had kids, so she had to stay home and take care of them. When she was able to go work, she didn’t want to be a teacher anymore. Instead, she wanted to be secretary. So she took classes in college for it. Finally, she became a secretary. When Rosio immigrated to the USA from Mexico, she was only 12 years old. She had to start middle school, and she didn’t know any English. She practiced saying 10 words everyday, and still, some kids bullied her. When she finished her dreadful middle school, she enjoyed being secretary. She likes secretary because she gets to learn from others, meet new people, work with teachers, and help kids. She was promoted to be able to be principal secretary, but she would rather stay secretary and she has to support her 3 children. She has a great sense of humor and we are glad to have her as secretary.
