Victoria Woodhull

She was born September 23, 1838 in Ohio. Victoria was first engaged at age 15 and divorced her first two.She had two children with her first husband-Bryon and Zulu. Married John Biddoulph Martin.

Accomplishments

Victoria and her sister were the first two women brokers on Wall Street. They started Woodhull, Claflin, and Co. The two also started a newspaper, Woohull and Claflin's Weekly.Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto was first published in their newspaper.She was the first women to run for president. Established Equal Rights Party.

Lasting Impact

Victoria Woodhull was a huge supporter of Women's Rights and Free Love.
