-Venus is one of only two planets that rotates on its axis clockwise from east to west. The only other planet to do so is Uranus.-Scientists doubt any life could exist on Venus, due to the extremely hot temperatures on the planet.-Due to its slightly smaller size and its lower density, Venus' mass is about 80% that of Earth.-Venus and Mercury are the only two planets in the solar system that do not have any moons orbiting around them.
Venus and Earth
-67,240,000 miles away from the Sun-Earth is 26,000,000 miles away from Venus-it takes 224.7 Earth days to revolve around the sun
-Venus and Earth are often called twins because they are similar in size, mass, density, composition and gravity. However, the similarities end there.-Venus is Terrestrial-Venus is a small rocky planet, which is covered by lava flows and has several volcanoes
How Venus Affects Earth
the surface gravity on Venus is almost the same as the surface gravity on Earth. The surface gravity on Venus is about 91% of the surface gravity on Earth, so if you weigh 100 pounds on Earth, you would weigh 91 pounds on Venus.
