Venus

On Venus one day lasts as long as 117 Earth days (the time it takes for Venus to rotate or spin once). In 225 Earth days venus has made a complete orbit around the sun. Venus is the second planet from the sun.

Venus has a sea of clouds to cover its surface.

Venus and Earth are similar in size, density, mass, composition, and distance from the sun.The distance between Venus and the sun is 67,240,000 miles (108,200,000 km).

Venus

Even though Venus' size and interior structure is very similar to Earth's, it has a vulcanic surface and a hot, dense atmosphere that is one of the most inhospitable places in the solar system.

Venus' orbit is the most nearly circular of that of any planet.

Venus is covered in clouds full of sulfuric acids which makes Venus have a dense atmosphere. The dense atmsphere causes a major greenhouse affect making the temperature rise to 900 degree fahrenheit.

Sometimes the terrestrial planet, Venus, is called earth's sister planet.

Venus' suface gravity is 0.9 times Earth's gravity. So a 20 lb. bookbag on Earth would weigh 18 lb. on Venus.

Because of its proximity to Earth and the way its clouds reflect sunlight, Venus appears to be the brightest planet in the sky.
