Forests
Fishing And Farming
The fish are kept in tanks until they are bigger so they can be sold for profits. And fish is not a big food source in North America Agriculture is a major industry in the United States, which is a net exporter of food. As of the 2007 census of agriculture, there were 2.2 million farms, covering an area of 922 million acres (3,730,000 km2), an average of 418 acres (1.69 km2) per farm.
Animals
The aim of this site is to provide a guide to North American wildlife, covering Canadian animals, animals of the United States of America and Mexican animals. Where possible, images of animals in the wild have been used. Many are from well-known American and Canadian national parks. Most of the marine mammals from around the North American coastline (seals and whales) are represented on the site. Some photos are from zoos both in North America and a small number are from overseas. For most species there are several pictures and a distribution map, and also a fact sheet with information about habitat, feeding, and for threatened and endangered species there are some conservation notes.
The forests are many homes to to animals but human are cutting the trees down for lumber and space. Most of canada and parts of the united states are covered in trees. The United States has 154 protected areas known as National Forests covering 188,391,233 acres (762,392 km2/294,361 sq. mi). The National Forests are managed by the U.S. Forest Service, an agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
