(below) Brown Bears often get shelter from caves and trees . their food source is mostly fish . Brown bears, space wise, like to roam the forest, so they have the entire forest as space .

CARNIVORES

(Left) Foxes often like to eat rabbits, voles, eggs, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and sometimes red crowned crane. they get shelter from caves and trees, and often roam the forest, and some times find their way to nearby farms . they also eat berries, and get water from lakes and such.

Herbivores

(left) Herons are very common in toronto, and eat anything from fish & frogs, to (Depending on the species ) berries . although they most often eat live aquatic prey . obvioulsy, they get their water from lakes, and make shelter near the water, and then migrate later on. obviously they fly, so they move around lots of different spaces .

(above) Pigeons commonly eat seeds, and remmanents found in the city, and they have a common shelter of things in the city, (old buildings, trees, winow sills, etc.) and can fly, so they roam alot.

Raccoons like to eat berries, acorns, corn, and as for their meat diet, they like to eat things such as crayfish, frogs, and small rodents . they can use pretty much anywhere for shelter, like trash cans, storm drains, logs, you name it . it all depends on the habitat they are in. they roam alot, so they need a lot of space. they get water from lakes, storms, anywhere.

Omnivores

(Left) Opossums eat all green and yellow vegtables ( squash, corn, etc.) and find common shelter in trees, and caves . Opossums roam the forest often, and can nbe found sometimes in the city.

(Above) coyotes eat small mammals such as voles, rabbits, prarie dogs, etc. they get water from lakes , and roam, so they have a lot of space. however, they often have shelter in dens they have dug in the ground .

urban Ecosystem (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) facts;*the avg. yearly rainfall is 792.7 mm per year.*the avg. seasonal temps. are as follows: *fall- 32-49 degrees F. *winter- 14-21 degrees F. *spring- 25-43 degrees F. *summer- 52-57 degrees F.

(above) european starlings find shelter by making nests in cavities (holes) in or on buildings . they eat many things from berries, to insects and small mammals . they get their water from lakes, or puddle areas after storms . they fly, so, obviously, they have quite a lot of space .

So. I chose the urban ecosystem, which can be located in many places. what it is, basically, is the city. For the US, places like Chicago, or New York. Out of our country, good examples are Moscow, Hong Kong, and Toronto, which is what i chose . Obviously, Toronto is located in Canada .
