Valley forge: After brandy wine the soldiers and George Washington moved into Valley forge for the winter to train and plan their next moves on the British. Through the winter, there were food shortages, diseases, and low of basically all supplies of the camp. But with the help of a skilled drill master,Von Steuben trained and worked the men to their fullest. This gave the men more confidence to pull through the winter. This hardship is important because, now the men have more confidence to go on with the war and believe that they can win.

York Town: The battle of York Town is where the British were ambushed by the colonists in york town, Virginia. The British tried to push towards the ocean put the French navy came to help the colonists. The British retreated back to York town and were out numbered in all directions and the only thing the British could do was surrender. After that the British signed an agreement stating that the colonists could get American and could live in free with no taxes. This was an important event because changed the end of the war and was the victory of the Americans.

Bunker hill: The battle of bunker hill started with the Americans learning plans from the British to over throw the hills of Boston. So overnight the Americans built forts and gathered up supplies and ammunition. The next day the British attacked, and by the third charge, they ran out of ammo and were forced to retreat. The British took Bunker hill and the Americans fled. This battle is important because this is the first battle against the British, and the first to be lost by the British. The Americans now know more of what they are up against, and how to plan for their next rival.

The British took Bunker hill and the Americans fled. This battle is important because this is the first battle against the British, and the first to be lost by the British. The Americans now know more of what they are up against, and how to plan for their next rival.

Long Island: Long Island was during the revolutionary war against the Colonists and British on Tuesday, August 27, 1776. It was the first battle that took place after the signing of the Declaration of Independence.  The battle ended shortly after Washington and his Patriot troops were defeated. The British had 400 naval ships loaded with men and armory ready to storm the beach of Long Island. The colonists were hiding about 40 miles out and sniped most of the British militia as the rest of the colonists retreated to New York. This was an important event because now they know more of the power that the British have with there navy so the colonists can find there weaknesses.

Brandy wine: Now the British set out to capture Philidelphia and gain more of the advantage. William Howe sailed to the Chesapeake bay with British troops, instead of marching across New Jersey, they had this as a more tactical advantage. George Washington learned of the i tensions and marched his troops up against the road to the bay. Meanwhile Howe sent general cornwalis to go around and surprise the right wing of the American March, an ambush. The American side was down 900, 300 wounded on both sides. The British took Chadds Ford and the Americans were once again defeated. This battle is important because now that the British have Philidelphia, a big loss for the Americans, the Americans are now more determined and confident to get those forts back and win the war.
