Amos

A shepard living in Tekoa,Raised sheep and took care of treesSold his produce in the villages of Israel

He saw the way poor people were treated unfairly in Israel and was shocked. He started to have dreams and visions, 3 of them recorded, all related to the fall of Israel

As Amos predicted, Israel falls. There luxuries taken from them and they go back into captivity for there sins.

Amos tells them of the coming day of Yaweh witch will be a day of happiness for the Israelites. When there peace and well being will be permanently secure. But since Yaweh is a god of justice the Israelites won't experience this but instead a day of darkness because they get no special treatment

"I hate, I despise your feasts; I cannot stand your assemblies. Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them... Away with the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps. But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream! Did you bring to me sacrifices and offerings forty years in the desert, O house of Israel?"

He tells the Israel people what he's seen and gives them gods warning. They declare him dangerous and banish him from the land.
