I’d like to tell you about my country – Ukraine. I hope that you will like my story. So, Ukraine is located in southeastern Europe and is washed by the Bleak Sea and the Sea of Azov. The total area of Ukraine is 603.700 sq. km, and in size it is the first largest country in Europe because its area is larger than England, England, Ireland, Austria and Greece together. The geographical position of Ukraine is very favorable because the country lies at the crossroads of the ways from Asia to Europe. The mild and warm climate together with its fertile black soil makes it ideal for the development of its intensive agriculture. The largest cities in Ukraine are: Kyiv, Kharkov, Odessa, Mykolayiv and Dnipropetrovs’k. Spiking about nature, Ukraine is solely a country full of natural attractions. But most of all the most beautiful, in my opinion is the Carpathian Mountains. They are extremely picturesque, with gentle slopes and treeless summits called «polonynas», transparent streams and clear air. And, of course, Kyiv. This town is especially beautiful in spring when lilac and chestnut trees are in full blossom. Ukraine’s flora number about 30.000 plant species; among them are: fir trees, oak, pines, maples, lime trees, poplars. Fauna of forests and steppes in rich and extremely diverse. You can meet there bear, deer, wild pig, wolf, fox and some other species. Now I guess have learning a bit about my country. I will be happy if you visit Ukraine, and believe me, you will enjoy it.
