Turtles
A group of turtles is called a bale.
Slow and Steady wins the race.~Tortoise & The Hare
All turtles have a shell. Sea turtle shells are flatter to help glide through the water. All turtles lay eggs. They burrow the eggs into the ground. Sea turtle hatchlings make theire way to the water and fend for themselves; tortoise hatchlings find their way to their mother and are protected for up to 4 months.
The title 'turtle' encompasses sea turtles and tortoises and anything in between that have a hard shell. Many species of turtles exist. They are one of the oldest reptile groups dating as far back as 220 million years ago. There are similarieties and differences, however, between a turtle that lives in the water and one that lives on land and even those that live in both.
