Tundra

*The tundra biome is believed to be the youngest of all of them in the world. It was believed to have formed approximately 10,000 years ago.

*Plants - mosses,heaths,lichen*Animals - polar bears,arctic fox,musk ox,wolves,caribou*Location - northern hemisphere: alaska,northern of canada and russia

*Climate - It never gets any warmer than 45 or 50° F*Climate changes - freezing,and thawing

Because of extreme temperatures ,most organisms get their nutrients from the decaying of dead organic material.* The soil has very little nutrients for plants.* It the least inhabited by humans biome, the tundra is the most affected by human pollution* The sun is almost up 24 hours a summer day, meaning there is almost no night times.

*Soil - hard ground with lush grass in the warmer months and snow/ice in the colder months.*The Tundra is the second most deadliest environment, it only only has 6 weeks of summer, there is little to no rain.

* During the winter there is a few hours of sunlight. The tundra is is covered of by a frozen layer of soil. * Polar Bear- They depend on a thick coat of insulated fur, which is also covering a layer of fat. They prey on seals.*Arctic Fox- Their muzzle, ears, and legs are shot, which conserves heat. They are scavengers.*Arctic Hare- thick fur
