SeasonsThere are long cold winter months where the sun barely rises and has bitter cold winds. Summer is a brief period of milder weather, when the sun shines almost 24 hours a day.

Location - Located in the northern part of Europe. - The latitude is between 75° N to 60° N and is found on the coastal areas of the arctic.

WeatherThe average temperature is 16 degrees. The highest temperature can get to 45 degrees and the coldest temperature can get to 10 degrees below 0. This makes it one of the coldest regions on earth.

VegetationThe type of vegetation that grows her are; grass, shrubs of willow, sedges, and lichens. These plants grow very slowly because of the hard winter.

AnimalsThe animals have to put on heavy coats to adapt to the harsh climate. Some are caribou, reindeer, musk ox, arctic hare and the arctic fox.
