Tundra

Plants that live in the Tundra are Labrador Tea, Pasque Flower, Diamond Leaf Willow, Tufted Saxifrage. These are just some of the plants that live in the Tundra.

Many Animals live life in the Tundra Biome these are a few that are common heard of. Arctic Fox, White Wolves Snowy Owls, and Grizzly Bears.

The Tundra Covers 20% of Earth's Surface.

The Tundra is located all over the world. Including Alaska, Northern Canada, the edges of Greenland, Northern Scandinavia, Northern Siberia, and Russia. The latitudes of which the Tundra is located in 55 degrees to -75 degrees North.

Climate

The Tundra is known for its long winters and short summers. The winter temperature averages at -34 degrees Celcius. Where as summer averages to 3 -12 degrees Celsius.

Fast Fact

The Tundra only has 50-60 days of plant growth during the summer days. This allows small ponds or pools to form from the melting snow.
