The tropical rainforest has a year round warm climate and 70% of its plants are trees. This biome covers less than 6% of the Earth, but holds 1/4 of all our medicines and produces 40% of the Earth's oxygen. In addition to this the tropical rainforest holds half of the world's plant and animal species.
Annually the rainforest has an average of 50-260 inches of rainfall (125-660cm). The soil in this biome is very rich soil with plenty of water for plants to grow and thrive. The average temperature is 69-93°F (34-20°C). The average humidity of the tropical rainforest is aproximately 77-88% humidity.
