Tropical Oceans

Tropical Oceans

3/4 of the earth's surface is covered by water!

The largest coral reef is the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.

The stone fish is one of the most dangerous predators in the ocean. It's venom can kill a human in two hours. It feeds off small fish and shrimp.

Examples of mutualism between a clownfish and sea anemones.

The average temperature of all oceans is about 39 degrees F (3.8 degrees C).

The smaller fish eat the plankton, then they become food for the bigger fish. The bigger fish become food for the BIG fish, like sharks!
