Trojan War
The Trojan War was a war between the Greeks and the Trojans. The war was over the most beautiful woman in the world, Helen of Greece. She was kidnapped by Paris of Troy, and later became known as Helen of Troy. Helen's husband, Menelaus was a famous Greek hero. He called war on Troy, and he and his many followers built the Trojan Horse.
-The war started by the Golden Apple of Discord. Aphrodite, Hera, and Athena wanted the apple. They tried to bribe Paris (of Troy) and Aphrodite said she would give Helen to Paris. -Menelaus convinced his brother Agamemnon to attack Troy. -In order for Agamemnon to win favorable winds for his journey, he had to sacrifice his daughter to Artemis.-Some of the most famous heroes were said to have fought in the war. -Paris got into a life of death situation with Menelaus, only to be saved by the goddess of beauty and love, Aphrodite.
-Lasted for 10 years-Over a lady named Helen, who was Greek-Between Trojans and Greeks-It was believed that Hector died by being the first person to stand on Trojan Soil. There was a Greek prophecy that said that the first Greek to stand on Trojan soil would die. -One of the stratagies of the Greeks was the Trojan Horse.

The horse was a big wooden horse sent from the Greeks to the Trojans. The Greeks hopped inside the horse and sent it to the Trojans. The Trojans thought it was a surrender gift. While the Trojans slept, the Greeks jumped out of the horse and attacked the Trojans.
