Toucan

Toucans are a type of bird that lives in the rainforest. In the wild they live up to 20 years. They are omnivores, meaning they eat meat and vegetables. They are around 25 inches long, with a 7.5 inch bill. They weigh around 20 ounces.

DietsToucans' favorite food is fruit so they're frugivorous but they are also omnivores. They also eat smaller birds and eat their eggs. Since they are frugivorous, this is good protein for them. However, toucans do like to have meat for their young. As frugivorous they play the role of spreading fruit trees in the rainforest.

Where Toucans live?

Toucans have a long, colorful bill. They have small beady eyes and colurful yellow and black plumage.

Toucans live in dense forests with lots of rain, called rainforests. Many animals live there including toucans, jaguars, pumas, tigers, mand more.

Some adaptations of the toucan are: It can, when in a flock, scream in unison and therefore stunning birds of prey.
