Atticus FinchAtticus is a lawyer and an upstanding citizen. He's a single dad trying to raise 2 childen.Scout Finch Scout is a spunky girl who is a tomboy and isn't afraid to stand up for what she thinks is right. Jem Finch Jem is a boy who sees the justice and injustice of life. He isn't happy with what happens in the trial. He is a very determined young man.

The story ended by Scout seeing her town in a new light from a different perspective. She looks at her neighborhood and finally understands completly what standing in someone else's shoes is like.

1. Dill dares Jem or Scout to run over and touch the Radley door.

2. The children find gifts in a knothole in a tree by the Radley house.

3. Fransis and Scout fight because Fransis calls Atticus mean names.


They live in a small town called Maycomb in the state of Alabama in the 1930's. They say Maycomb is a very boring place to live.This story takes place during the Great Depression.

4. Atticus makes Jem and Scout visit Mrs.Dubose and read to her everyday until she says he is done reading.

5. Aunt Alexandra moves in with the Finch's because she believes that the children need a feminine influence.

6. Dill runs awat from his home, and he hides under Scout's bed until bedtime.

9. Tom dies while he was trying to escape becausehe knew he would die any way.

7. Atticus goes to the jail to protect Tom from people who want to hang him.

8. Atticus does a good job ofdefending Tom, but the juryfound Tom gulity.

10. Bob Ewell threatens Atticus after the trialbecause Atticus exposed the truth about the Ewell's homelife.


The climax is when Jem and Scoutwere walking back from the pagent when they hear weird sounds behind them. Then Bob Ewell jumps out and trys to hurt both kids badly. Another man jumps out and kills Bob Ewell.

*Falling Action*The men decide to hide the fact the Boo Radley killed Bob Ewell, and they decided to say that Bob fell on his knife.
