To kill a mockingbird

To Kill a Mockingbird

Taking a stand was a big theme in this novel. In the beginning Scout and Little Chuck Little both stood up for someone in school. One of the biggest "Taking A Stand" part is when Atticus stand for Tom. Atticus tries and defend Tom in court.

Taking a Stand

In the novel "To Kill a Mockingbird" it was focused around the inequality times and how racism was horrible. Atticus was to defend a African American, Tom Robinson. Tom was accused of rape by Mayella Ewell. However, he was an innocent person and was only accused for his skin color. Mockingbirds are also innocent thats why you can shoot or kill any. Tom Robinson was guilty and later when he tried to escape he was shot and killed.

The Golden Rule

The Golden Rule is not to judge someone by how they look. You need to look at it from thier perspective. Atticus said you need to crawl in thier skin. People thought Boo Radley is a monster until Scout saw how he saw the town by the porch.
