Normal Titanium

Titanium was discovered by William Gregor in 1791 Cornwall, Great Britain. It was named after the Titans The element occurs within in the Earth's crust and lithosphere. It is found in almost every living thing, bodies of water, rocks, and soil. Its most common compound is titanium dioxide. Other compounds include titanium too.

Titanium is a chemical element with the symbol Ti. Its atomic is number 22. Its has a silver color, and low density, but high strength. It is very resistant to corrosion in ocean water, aqua regia and chlorine.

Atomic weight:47.87

Physical properties:Titanium is a metallic element and is recognized for its high strength. It is a strong metal with low density. It has a relatively high melting point (more than 1,650 °C or 3,000 °F).That makes it useful as a refractory metal. It is paramagnetic metal. It also has fairly low electrical conductiveity.

Chemical Properties:Like aluminium and magnesium's surfaces, titanium metal and its alloys oxidize immediately upon exposure to air. Titanium readily reacts with oxygen at 1,200 °C in air, and at 610 °C in pure oxygen, forming titanium dioxide. It is, however, slow to react with water. Air, as it forms a passive and oxide coating that protects the bulk metal from further oxidation.
