- Born March 2nd 1904 in Springfield Massachussets- At the age of 18, Seuss left home to attend Dartmouth College. - After graduating from Dartmouth, Seuss moved to England and attended Oxford Univeristy with dreams of becoming a professor. - While at Oxford, he met his future wife, Helen, who he married in 1927. - After returning to America, Seuss began a career in cartooning where he was published in many magazines.- Became a part of the educational military contributing with cartoon propoganda and films- 1960- Green Eggs and Ham was published, ending up being his #1 book of his career- Wife Helen Geisel dies in 1967- Seuss marries Audrey Dimond- Wrote many more successful books up until his death in 1991- What Pet Should I Get? Published in February 2015 after finding the manuscript and sketches from Audrey's home
