The cross of St. Patrick is a diagonal red cross on a white ground.

The cross of St. Andrew is a diagonal white cross on a blue ground.

The cross of St. George is a red cross on a white ground.

When Britain colonized the world many colonies used the Union Jack in their flag.

For example: Australia - New Zeland - Anguilla Bermuda - Cook Islands - Fiji...

The Union Flag becomes the Union Jack when it is on a ship' s jack mast (= albero maestro ).

Why Union Jack?
