Building the tinya

TINYA

It is a percussion instrument by way of a small hand drum made with lambskin or puma. Belonging to American Andean region: Ecuador, Peru, the Bolivian highlands and northern Argentina and Chile. In Aymara language it is called huancara and Quechua, tinya. It will be used hanging vertically. It is medium in size and weight. On the underside usually it takes a taut rope so resonator.
