The science of laughter
Laughter is good because it decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease. Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body's feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can temporarily relieve pain. Researchers have found that laughter involves various areas of the brain not just one area. Laughter pretty much tells the motor region of the brain to become active, and that's what produces the physical reaction of laughing and the vocal expulsion of sound. Laughter also boosts heart rate and the production of certain antibodies, which strengthens our immune system, laughter can also make abdominals stronger.
When you watch the videos or look at the pictures think about why you are laughing, where do you feel your laughter, and if you were hurt did it help?
