In the battle, Texans assaulted with duel identical cannons, known as the "Twin sisters"
Recently, we went on our 7th grade trip. We took a comfortable Road Runner buss, and went to the San Jacinto Monument, and the USS Texas Battleship. They where both fun. Inbetween the two, we ate lunch. I had eaten breakfast before we went. We ate dinner at a country-buffet resturant named Sam's. Overall, the trip was fun and I feel like I learned alot of things.
Citation
In the battle of San Jacinto, the Texans attacked while the Mexican Army slept. Since they where surprised, they could hardly fight as one unit. The twin cannons, the twin sisters, tore through the troops with Glass, musket balls, and even horseshoes! The battle was over in 20 minutes. About 600 troops died for Mexico, only 9 died for Texas.
This video tells about the battle in length.
