The Royal Canadian Mounted Police

The Royal Candaian Mounted Polices' traditional uniform includes a scarlet tunic, a felt hat, brown gloves, breeches, and Strathcona boots. A traditional part of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police is the Musical Ride. The Ride is done to show the power of Canada and to preserve its culture. Another reason it is done is to show the persistence and bravery of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police is Canada's national/federal police force. It now does many services in Canada that police in America do, like fingerprinting.

Duties of the RCMP

The RCMP wasn't always called the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. In the beginning, it belonged to the United States and was called the NWMP (North-West Mounted Police) then to the RNWMP (Royal North-West Mounted Police) and finally to the RCMP.
