PACIFIC NORTHWEST

Food: They hunted, traded, and fished for food. They ate berries, whales, fish, crabs, clams, seals, sea lions, nuts, salmon, fruit, and more!

Customs/Beliefs: They had very long ceremonies, funerals, and parties that could go on for days! They had Totem Poles that guarded thier homes from danger.

TRIBES: MAKAH CHINOOK KWAKIUTL

Plants/Animals: The Pacific Northwest had whales, fish, berries, crabs, clams, aligators, carabou, sea otters, cypress trees, and bugs!

Homes/Tools: They lived in longhouses, which were made from a frame of tall wooden poles. They had bark roofs, and could be as long as 60ft. They used harpoons to kill thier food. (Most of it)

Land/Climates: The Pacific Northwest had/has a bunch of huge trees. They lived by the sea. All 3 tribes live in or around "The Mouth Of Columbia", The Dalles, and the Columbia River.
