Mark Dinning - Teen Angel
The Greasers including Ponyboy are know by their long greasy hair. It shows that they're rebels. Thats why their called Greasers.
"Stay gold Ponyboy... Stay gold..." -Johnny's last words. This symbolizes childhood and inocence. By gold, Johnny means stay young, don’t grow up. Don’t be like me and get in trouble. This theme is important because when Johnny dies that is the last thing said.
Stay Gold
I chose Teen Angel as my song for many reasons. First in the book Ponyboys Johnny dies when he is 16, so does the person in the story. Ponyboy also thinks Johnny is still alive. Until he reads the letter. Also, when Johnny dies Ponyboy is with him. At the first moment everything was great until he dies.
S.E. Hinton wrote this book biased on real life events that happened in her life. They were biased on two groups called the Greasers and the Socs. She wrote it because she was not satisfied with the young adult novels that she had to read. After she wrote the book she got a lot of publicity and fame.
Thats S.E Hinton!
RIP Johnny..
