The Other Factor
DescriptionThe point of the other factor is to discover how Sprite is actually given to you in comparison to how much the bottle claims to contain. Why does the bottle have extra space? Does the can have extra space? Is this wasted space? Which one has less extra space?
MaterialsA measuring cupOne full can of SpriteOne full bottle of SpriteProcedure1. Measure how much liquid is actually in each type of packaging.2. Convert measurements if necessary.3. Subtract found ammount from ammount on bottle.
ConclusionWhen we began this experiment we thought that there would be a large ammount of wasted space, but we were wrong. We found out that there was zero fluid ounces of wasted space in either one. The bottle and can is larger than the ammount of liquid promised, so the package gives the correct ammount of liquid.
